You will be pleased to know that we have now received confirmation from the Secretary of State that, as of the 1st of September 2017, Gladstone Primary became an official academy as a member of the Societas Multi Academy Trust. As you can imagine we are all thrilled after what seems to have been a very long 3 year wait. More information regarding the Trust will be forwarded at the beginning of term. Gladstone awarded Nurture Quality Mark

We are very proud that Gladstone Primary has been awarded the Marjorie Boxall Quality Award as a ‘nurturing school’. The award celebrates the school’s commitment to supporting pupils, parents and staff, our Nurture provision in particular. We will now be applying to be one of the first schools in the country to achieve the Whole School Nurture Award.

Safeguarding Alert

Safeguarding alert for parents / carers:
Could you please review whether your child uses Instagram social media and if they do whether they have had contact from, are ‘following’ or are ‘followed by’ user name “ali_love_you_2017” or similar. If this is the case could you please retain the device and contact the police quoting ref.065304/06/2017 for attention of PC 25187 Hoole.
Concerns have also been raised regarding the MyLOL app  and advice from the Stoke-on-Trent Safeguarding Board is to talk to your child about this, delete the app and block the website.

Sports Day News

Due to the forecast of increased temperatures next week Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 Sports Days will all be held in the morning starting at 9.30am. Foundation stage on Monday, KS1 on Tuesday and KS2 on Wednesday. We ask that all children bring bottled water with them and a sun hat. You may also want to apply sun lotion to your child in the morning.
